The purpose of this work is to extend the Barannikov-Kontsevich (BK) construction [\textit{S. A. Barannikov} and \textit{M. Kontsevich}, Int. Math. Res. Not. 1998, 201-215 (1998; Zbl 0914.58004)], which assigns to each ``exceptional'' Gerstenhaber algebra (arising from a Calabi-Yau manifold) an associated Frobenius manifold. The author extends this construction to work with arbitrary differential unital Gerstenhaber algebras. This new construction does not produce a Frobenius manifold, but rather a generalization of a Frobenius manifold, called an \(F_\infty\)-manifold. In particular, the author proves that there is a canonical functor \(F_\infty\) from the derived category of unital homotopy Gerstenhaber algebras with finite-dimensional cohomology to the category of \(F_\infty\)-manifolds. When restricted to the exceptional Gerstenhaber algebras this functor coincides with the Barannikov-Kontsevich construction. The author also constructs a canonical functor from the category of pairs \((\mathfrak{g},F)\) of an \(L_\infty\)-formal Gerstenhaber algebra \(\mathfrak{g}\) and formality map \(F\) into the category of pre-\(F_\infty\)-manifolds, and then uses that result to prove that, for a homotopy Gerstenhaber algebra \(\mathfrak{g}\) which is quasi-isomorphic to an abelian differential Lie algebra, the tangent sheaf \(\mathcal{T}_{\mathcal{H}}\) to the cohomology \(\mathbb{H}(\mathfrak{g})\) is canonically a sheaf of unital graded commutative associative algebras.
