Growth curve models and statistical diagnostics (Q1847951)

In the preface of this book the authors write: ``The purpose of this book is to introduce the theory of the GCM (growth curve models) with particular emphasis on statistical diagnostics\dots''. In this respect the authors have met their agenda. There are seven chapters (360 pages) and an exhaustive bibliography (17 pages). There are many grammatical errors, typos, missing words, and this may make reading unpleasant. The authors have written a basic book on a well developed and important field in multivariate statistical analysis. It will undoubtedly serve as a reference in this field. However, lack of any exercises will prohibit its use as a text.
