Scattering of SH waves by fixed-rigid nearly circular cylinder. (Q1848698)

This paper is devoted to scattering and diffraction produced by a rigid infinite cylinder in an elastic medium. The SH waves are taken into account. The used procedure is the so-called method of weighted residues (moment method). For the case of circular cylinder, a closed-form solution is already known. Here an elliptical cylinder is considered. For this care a solution is derived, and some plots are presented.
