The authors consider the symptotic behaviour of the Laplace equation in a periodically perforated domain in \(\mathbb R^n\). The holes have a smooth boundary and have size of the order of the period \(\epsilon\). On the boundary of holes a Dirichlet condition is given on a flat portion of the boundary of diameter \(\epsilon^{\frac{n}{n-2}}\) if \(n>2\) or \(\exp(-\varepsilon^{-2})\) if \(n=2\) while a homogeneous Neumann condition is given elsewhere. The limit problem is established as an elliptic problem with a correction term \(\mu u\) where \(\mu\) is a suitable Radon measure.
