    From the introduction: We consider the compactness theorem for the positive solutions of the equation \[ \Delta v + h_1(x) v +h_2(x) v^\alpha =0 \quad \text{in} \;\Omega, \] where \(\alpha \geq (n+2)/(n-2)\), \(h_i \in C^1(\Omega)\), \(0<a_i<h_i(x)<b_i\) and \(| \nabla \ln h_i (x) | \leq C\) for \(x \in \overline{\Omega}\) \((i=1,2)\). We establish a monotonicity inequality for the positive stationary weak solutions \(u \in H^1(\Omega)\cap L^{\alpha +1}( \Omega)\). Then using such monotonicity property of the energy and the idea of \textit{R. Schoen} [Publ., Math. Sci. Rec. Inst. 2, 321--358 (1984; Zbl 0551.58011)], we obtain the measure estimate of the blow up set for positive smooth solutions \(\{u_i\}\) with \(\{ \|u_i\|_{H^1(\Omega)} +\|u_i \|_{L^{\alpha +1}( \Omega)} \}\) bounded. Our result does not need any restriction on the exponent \(\alpha\).
