Wonderful blowups associated to group actions (Q1849774)

Let \(X\) be a smooth variety and let \(G\) be finite group acting on \(X\). Two stratifications of \(X\) are defined: the stabilizer and \(Y\) stratifications. It was shown that they are conical. The main results here are: 1) \(G\) acts on the maximal wonderful blowups associated to each of these stratifications with abelian stabilizers. 2) \(G\) acts on the minimal wonderful blowup associated to the \(Y\) stratification with solvable stabilizers. The main tool here is an algorithm of Batyrev.
