The author considers a propagation to small-amplitude internal gravity waves (IGWs) in a compressible fluid. The problem is characterized by the parameter \(\beta\) defined as the ratio of the vertical and horizontal scales. It is argued that only methods that are convergent uniformly in \(\beta\) can be used in numerical simulations of IGWs. Some uniformly convergent methods are proposed and analyzed.
