The aim of the present paper is to present that the well-known notions of pure dynamical spectrum and pure point diffraction spectrum are equivalent under a type of statistical condition known as the existence of uniform cluster frequencies. Specifically the basic objects of the study are Delone point sets of \(\mathbb{R}^d\) which are multicolored and have the property of finite local complexity. Under the assumption that the above-mentioned point sets have uniform cluster frequencies (or equivalent that the corresponding dynamical system is uniquely ergodic) the authors manage to extend a well-known argument of \textit{S. Dworkin} [J. Math. Phys. 34, 2965-2967 (1993; Zbl 0808.47052)] which shows how to deduce pure pointedness of the diffractive spectrum from pure pointedness of the dynamical system in the direction that the above process can be reversed such that the two notions of pure pointedness are equivalent. This result is very important since it allows the introduction of powerful spectral theorems in the study of such sets. Furthermore the authors study the case of not existing uniform cluster frequencies where it can be seen that the equivalence of the two notions of pure pointedness still holds not for the original Delone sets but for almost Delone set in the corresponding dynamical system with respect to an ergodic invariant measure.
