Let \(S^{n-1}\) be the unit sphere in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 2\), and let \(b(r)\) be a radial and bounded function. The authors consider the boundedness on the Triebel-Lizorkin and Besov spaces for the singular integral operator \[ T(f)(x)=\roman{p.v.}\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}b(|y|)\Omega(y/|y|)|y|^{-n-\alpha} f(x-y)dy. \] Their main results are: For \(1<q,p<\infty\), let \(\tilde p= \max\{p, p/(p-1)\}\), \(\tilde q=\max\{q, q/(q-1)\}\). Let \(\alpha>0\). If \(\Omega\in H^r(S^{n-1})\) with \(r=(n-1)/(n-1+\alpha)\) and \((\Omega, Y_m)=0\) for all spherical harmonic polynomials \(Y_m\) whose degrees are \(\leq N\) with \(4(N+1)>\tilde p\alpha\tilde q\), then \(\|T(f)\|_{\dot F_p^{\beta,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)} \leq C\|f\|_{\dot F_p^{\beta+\alpha,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)}\) and \(\|T(f)\|_{\dot B_p^{\beta,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)} \leq C\|f\|_{\dot B_p^{\beta+\alpha,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)}\), where \(\beta\in \mathbb{R}\). In the case \(\alpha=0\), if \(1<p,q<\infty\), \(\Omega\in L^r(S^{n-1})\) with \(r>1\), and \(\int_{S^{n-1}}\Omega(y') d\sigma(y')=0\), then the same estimates hold as above. These results extend the known ones in the case of \(L^p\) and the Sobolev spaces. They treat the torus versions, too. They also use their results to study fractional integral operators and Littlewood-Paley functions.
