    Let \(X\) be a symmetric space of negative curvature, \(G\) a connected linear Lie group which finitely covers the isometry group of \(X\), \(\Gamma\subset G\) be a geometrically finite discrete subgroup, \(\partial x\) the geodesic boundary of \(x\) and \(\Lambda_\Gamma \subset\partial x\) the limit set of \(\Gamma\). The following objects and notions are considered: a \(G\)-invariant irreducible complex vector bundle \(V\to\partial x\), a finite-dimensional representation \((\varphi,V_\varphi)\) of \(\Gamma\), the \(G\)-equivariant bundle \(\Lambda\to\partial x\) of densities on \(\partial x\), \[ \widetilde V:\Hom (V, \Lambda);\;I(\Gamma,V, \varphi):= \bigl(C^\infty (\partial x,\nu) \otimes V_\varphi \bigr)^\Gamma, \quad \rho:={1\over 2}\lim_{r\to\infty} {\log\text{ vol} B (r,0)\over r}, \] where \(B(r,0)\subset X\) is the ball of radius \(r\) centered at 0, and \(s(V)\) is the unique number such that \(V\otimes \Lambda^{s (V)}\cong V^\#\), where \(V^\#\) is the complex conjugate bundle of \(\widetilde V\), \[ \begin{aligned} d_\Gamma & ={1 \over\rho} \inf\Bigl\{\nu: \sum_{g\in\Gamma} \text{dist} (g0,0)^{-\rho- \nu}<\infty \Bigr\},\\ d_\varphi: & ={1\over\rho}\inf \Bigl\{\nu: \sup\bigl\|\varphi(g) \bigr\|\text{dist}_{g\in \Gamma}(g0,0)^{-\nu}< \infty\Bigr\}, \end{aligned} \] \(I_{\Lambda_\Gamma} (\Gamma,V, \varphi)\) is the space of all \(f\in I(\Gamma,V, \varphi)\) which are strongly supported on the limit space. The main result of the paper is the following: If \(s(V)\) is bounded from below by some value, then \(I_{\Lambda_\Gamma}( \Gamma,V,\varphi)=0\). In particular, if \(\Gamma\) is convex cocompact and \(s(V)>d_\Gamma +d_\varphi\), then \(I_{\Lambda_\Gamma} (\Gamma,V,\varphi)=0\). Thus sufficient conditions excluding the existence of nontrivial distribution sections of bundles over the boundary of symmetric spaces of negative curvature with the above-mentioned properties are obtained.
