The author tries to use KAM methods to prove a KAM theorem. He uses a somewhat modified KAM iteration to avoid to use some of the second Melnikov's conditions, which are not satisfied in this case of resonance. Moreover he obtains the normal forms near invariant tori. This method can be applied also to infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems. He has two assumptions: (A) regularity of perturbations and (B) nonresonance conditions. Under the assumption (B) he proves (Theorem B) that there exists a nonempty subset such that for any point of this subset, the small divisor conditions hold; and under both assumtions (A) and (B) the Theorem A proves the existence of certain real analytic symplectic embedding, which implies the persistence of lower-dimensional invariant tori for nearly integrable Hamiltonian systems.
