Lyapunov exponents on the orbit space (Q1864083)

The author considers the discrete dynamical system \(x_{n+1}=P(x_n)\) with sufficiently smooth map \(P\) on a finite-dimensional vector space \(V\) and symmetry relatively to the compact set \(\Gamma_0\supset\text{GL}(V)\) of linear transformations \(P(\gamma x)=\gamma P(x).\) Such system induces a system on the orbit space that inherits many properties of the original one. The author proves important formulas for the Lyapunov exponents of the reduced system in terms of Lyapunov exponents of the given system, which allow to make estimates for the Lyapunov exponents of the original system in terms of the ones of the reduced system.
