The main results of this paper concern the existence and main properties of an exact and faithful tensor functor (the quantum Kazhdan-Lusztig functor) \(\mathcal F\) from the category of finite-dimensional representations of the quantum affine algebra \(U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)\) (with extended scalars) to the category of finite-dimensional representations of Felder's elliptic quantum group \(E_{\tau, \gamma/2}(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_n)\), for \(q = e^{i\pi \gamma}\). The authors show that these results imply that any evaluation module for \(U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)\) admits an elliptic deformation, a fact that was conjectured by \textit{V. Tarasov} and \textit{A. Varchenko} [Mosc. Math. J. 1, 243-286 (2001; Zbl 0998.17018)], who proved the statement for Verma and finite-dimensional modules.
