The concept of operator semigroup is inspired by the theory of operator ideals. Two families of operator semigroups are defined by the authors using the notions of total incomparability and total coincomparability of Banach spaces. The main result is that these semigroups are minimal, in the sense that they admit a perturbative characterization.
