The singular integral equation on a closed piecewise smooth manifold in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) (Q1865914)

In this paper, general permutation formulas and composition formulas for the singular integral of Cauchy type on a closed piecewise \(C^{(1)}\) smooth manifold are obtained. As an application, the authors consider the linear singular integral equation in \textit{\$}\(^\ast(\overline D)\) with the Bochner-Martinelli kernel, where \textit{\$}\(^\ast(\overline D)\) denotes the set of functions satisfying the Hölder condition on \(\partial D\) and being holomorphically expandable in a domain \(D\). It is proved that this equation can be transformed to an equivalent Fredholm equation, whose characteristic equation has a unique solution in \textit{\$}\(^\ast(\overline D)\).
