This paper confirms Karoubi's conjecture related to the isomorphism of algebraic and topological \(K\)-functors on the category of stable \(C^*\)-algebras, for a class of complex topological algebras. Namely, the isomorphism is proved on a category of stable generalized operator algebras called stable pro-\(C^*\)-algebras. An algebra in the category of involutive complex algebra equipped with the Hausdorff topology such that algebraic operations are continuous and the morphisms of this category are involutive continuous algebra homorphisms is called a pro-\(C^*\)-algebra if there exists an inverse system \(\{A_\alpha\}\) of \(C^*\)-algebras \(A_\alpha\) such that \(\varprojlim\{A_\alpha\}= A\) [see \textit{J. Weidner}, I, II: \(K\)-Theory 3(1) (1998; Zbl 0684.46058; Zbl 0684.46059)]. Any stable pro-\(C^*\)-algebra is \(K_i\)-regular for all \(i\geq 1\).
