Recent trends on analytic properties of matrix orthonormal polynomials (Q1866497)

This paper gives an overview of the results on analytic properties of matrix orthogonal polynomials since 1990. Specifically, the contributions of the research groups at the Universidad de Sevilla\ (A. J. Duran c.s.) and at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (W. Van Assche c.s.) are highlighted. The paper complements the two following surveys by \textit{L. Rodman} [``Orthogonal matrix polynomials'', NATO ASI Ser., Ser. C 294, 345--362 (1990; Zbl 0703.42022)]{} and by \textit{A. Sinap} and \textit{W. Van Assche} [``Polynomial interpolation and Gaussian quadrature for matrix-valued functions'', Linear Algebra Appl. 207, 71--114 (1994; Zbl 0810.41028)].
