The author previously proved that if an isometric immersion of the flat \(2\)-torus \(T^2\) into the \(3\)-sphere \(S^3\) has non-constant mean curvature, then is it deformable, i.e. it can be nontrivially deformed through isometric immersions. He also proved that the Clifford torus, which has constant mean curvature, is not deformable. The author mentions in the introduction that every isometric immersion \(f:T^2\to S^3\) with constant mean curvature can be obtained from the Clifford torus by precomposing with a finite self-cover of \(T^2\). In the present paper he gives a necessary and sufficient condition on a finite self-cover of \(T^2\) under which \(f\) is not deformable. This leads to a classification of non-deformable isometric immersions \(T^2\to S^3\).
