The author answers a question of Balogh and Burke concerning the existence of a Dowker space which is not collectionwise normal, but satisfies a weaker separation property (\(\nearrow\)-collectionwise normality). The example is constructed from the collectionwise normal Dowker space of M. E. Rudin by applying the coding technique developed by Watson.
