The authors set a framework for the delinearization of quantum mechanics (QM). First they assume that the pure state space of QM is the projective space \({\mathcal P}(H)\) of a Hilbert space \(H\). Then they study the geometric properties of \({\mathcal P}(H)\) as an infinite dimensional Kähler manifold underlying to a Hermitian symmetric space, and they state the classical principles of QM (Quantum Superposition Principle (QSP), Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle (HUP), Quantum Probability Principle) and spectral theory of observables by means of the geometric features (geodesics, Killing vector fields) of \({\mathcal P}(H)\). They arrive to the conclusion that ``It is possible to maintain the QSP and the HUP in a nonlinear QM assuming that 1. the space of the pure states is a symmetric Hermitian manifold \((M,G,s,J,g)\); 2. the superpositions of \(x, y \in M\), \((x \neq y)\), are the points of the smallest closed \(J\) invariant totally geodesic submanifold containing \(x\) and \(y\); 3. the observables are those maps \(f : M \to {\mathbb R}\) that preserve superpositions; 4. the dynamical evolution is given by a vector field that preserves the Riemannian structure, i.e. by a Killing vector field on \((M,g)\). 5. the Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\) of pure states is endowed with a symplectic form \(\omega\) which is uniformly continuous with respect to \(g\)''.
