This is a continuation of [\textit{M. de J. López}, ibid. 126, 361-375 (2002; Zbl 1022.54021)]. The authors prove the following theorem which characterizes a hereditarily decomposable continuum. Theorem. Let \(X\) be a hereditarily decomposable continuum for which there exists a finite-dimensional continuum \(Z\) such that the hyperspace \(C(X)\) of subcontinua of \(X\) is homeomorphic to \(\text{cone}(Z)\) (the cone over \(Z\)). Then \(X\) is in one of the classes of continua described in (M1) to (M10), below. Conversely, for each one of the continua \(X\) described in (M1) to (M10) it holds that the hyperspace \(C(X)\) is homeomorphic to a finite-dimensional cone. (M1) the circle, (M2) the double spiral with both ends running in the same direction, (M3) the double spiral with its ends running in opposite direction, (M4) the Warzaw circle, (M5) the double \(\sin({1\over x})\)-continuum, (M6) a union of a finite number of \(\sin({1\over x})\)-continua that share their limit circle, (M7) a union of a finite number of \(\sin({1\over x})\)-continua that share their limit arc, (M8) a union of a finite number of \(\sin({1\over x})\)-continua that share their limit arc with the limit arc extended to a large arc by either one of its two endpoints, (M9) a simple \(n\)-od (an \(n\)-od is a continuum \(B\) which contains a subcontinuum \(A\) such that \(B-A\) has at least \(n\)-components), (M10) an arc or a simple closed arc.
