This paper concerns the analysis and control of parabolic partial differential equations with input constraints. Galerkin's method is used and an ordinary differential system that approximates the partial differential equations is obtained. This ODE system is used for the synthesis of stabilizing bounded nonlinear state and output feedback control laws that provide an explicit characterization of the sets of admissible initial conditions and admissible control actuator locations which can be used to guarantee the stability with input constraints. The results are used to stabilize an unstable steady-state of a reaction-diffusion process.
