Nambu-Poisson structures enables [było: ``unables''] an interesting generalization of Hamiltonian mechanics [\textit{Y. Nambu}, Generalized Hamiltonian dynamics, Phys. Rev. D (3) 7, 2405-2412 (1973); \textit{L. Takhtajan}, Commun. Math. Phys. 160, 295-315 (1994; Zbl 0808.70015)]. There are used Lie algebroids in the next step of generalizations. For a Lie algebroid \(E\) on a manifold \(M\) the author introduces \(E\)-Nambu structure of order \(p\) being a smooth section \(\Pi\) of \(\Lambda^{p}E\) such that \(\left[ \Pi\alpha,\Pi\right] _{E}\beta=-\Pi\left( \iota_{\Pi\beta}d_{E}\alpha\right) \) for any \(\alpha,\beta\in\Gamma\left(\Lambda^{p+1}A^{\ast}\right) \) where \(d_{E}\) is the differential operator on \(E\)-differential forms (i.e. on smooth sections of \(\Lambda E^{\ast}\) [\textit{L. Maxim-Raileanu}, An. Sţiinţ. Univ. Al. I. Cuza, Iaşi, N. Ser., Sect. I a 22, 197-199 (1976; Zbl 0361.18013)]) and \(\left[ \cdot ,\cdot\right] \) is the Schouten bracket. This generalization includes both triangular Lie bialgebroids [\textit{K. Mackenzie} and \textit{P. Xu}, Duke Math. J. 73, 415-452 (1994; Zbl 0844.22005)] and Nambu-Poisson structures on manifolds. The author proves that the \(p-1\)-tensor \(\Pi\left( d_{E}f\right) \) is locally decomposable for any \(f\in C^{\infty}\left( M\right) \) and \(p\geq 3.\) Next, he studies \(E\)-Nambu structures from the point of view of the theory of Dirac structures.
