Let \(M\) be a differentiable manifold and let \(\Omega(M)\) be the algebra of differential forms on \(M\). A graded Poisson bracket on \(\Omega(M)\) of degree \(k\in Z\) is an \(R\)-bilinear mapping \([\cdot,\cdot]\): \(\Omega(M) \times \Omega(M) \to\Omega (M)\) satisfying the following conditions (1)--(4) for homogeneous \(\alpha,\beta, \gamma\in\Omega (M)\): (1) \(|[\alpha, \beta]|= |\alpha|+|\beta |+k\), denoting \(|\alpha|\) the degree of \(\alpha\), (2) \([\alpha,\beta]= -(-1)^{(|\alpha |+k) (|\beta|+ k)} [\beta,\alpha]\) (graded commutativity), (3) \([\alpha,\beta \wedge\gamma]= [\alpha, \beta] \wedge\gamma+(-1)^{(|\alpha |+k)|\beta|} \beta \wedge [\alpha,\gamma]\) (graded Leibniz rule) and (4) the graded Jacobi identity. A graded Poisson bracket \([\cdot,\cdot]\) on \(\Omega(M)\) will be called even or odd, depending on \(k\). An odd Poisson bracket was constructed by \textit{J. L. Koszul} [Astérisque, Hors série, 257-271 (1985; Zbl 0615.58029)] and is called by the authors the Koszul-Schouten bracket. The authors investigate, in this paper, the construction of an even Poisson bracket on \(\Omega(M)\), and establish a relation with the Koszul-Schouten bracket. The authors assert that, because of the nature of the even symplectic form and nice relations with the Koszul-Schouten bracket, the even Poisson bracket will find its applications in Kähler manifolds, para-complex geometry or Lagrangian problems defined through a Riemannian metric on \(M\).
