    Let \(T_kf(x)=f(x-k)\) and \(Df(x)=2^{1/2}f(2x)\). Two frame multiresolution analyses \(\{V_j\}_{j\in\mathbb{Z}}\) and \(\{\widetilde{V}_j\}_{j\in\mathbb{Z}}\) are said to be quasi-biorthogonal if their corresponding scaling functions \(\varphi, \widetilde{\varphi}\) satisfy the equations \[ \varphi =\sum \langle \varphi, T_k\widetilde{\varphi}\rangle T_k\varphi, \quad \widetilde{\varphi} =\sum \langle \widetilde{\varphi}, T_k\varphi\rangle T_k\widetilde{\varphi}. \] The concepts of biorthogonal multiresolution analysis and biorthogonal wavelets are generalized to such MRA's; in particular, sufficient conditions for the existence of frame sequences \(\{T_k\psi\}_{k\in\mathbb{Z}}\) and \(\{T_k\widetilde{\psi}\}_{k\in\mathbb{Z}}\) such that \[ f= \sum_j \left( \sum_k \langle f, D^jT_k\widetilde{\psi}\rangle D^jT_k\psi\right) \;\forall f\in L^2(\mathbb{R}) \] are given.
