The authors study an initial-boundary value problem describing laminar and turbulent motions of nonlinear generalized Oldroyd viscoelastic fluids. The problem is formulated as operator evolutionary problem, and for mixed boundary conditions the existence of weak solution is proved by Leray-Schauder techniques.
