Some finiteness results for étale cohomology. (Q1869810)

Abbreviating the notation for the étale cohomology groups \(H^i_{\text{ét}}(X, (\mathbb Q / \mathbb Z)'(n))\) by \(H^i(X,n)\) and analogously for the Borel-Moore cohomology and for the cohomology with proper supports, results of the following type are proved: ``\(H^i(X,n)\) is finite unless \(n\in [a,b]\), \(i\in [c,d]\)'', where \(a,b,c,d\) are certain integers according to the situation.
