Let \(V\) be a 2-dimensional vector space over an algebraically closed field \({\mathbf F}\) of characteristic \(\neq 2,3\). The elements in \(S^2V^* \otimes V\) under the natural action of \(GL(2,{\mathbf F})\) are classified generically. A basis of invariants is also explicitly given.
