    Let \(R\) be an integral domain. An \(R\)-algebra \(A\) with a basis \(B\) is called a generalized table algebra (GT-algebra) if the following conditions are satisfied: (GT0) \(A\) is a free left \(R\)-module with a basis \(B\). (GT1) \(A\) is an \(R\)-algebra with a unit 1 and \(1\in B\). (GT2) There exist an involutive antiautomorphism \(a\to \overline a\), \(a\in A\) such that \(\overline B=B\). Let \(\lambda_{abc}\in R\) be the structure constants of \(A\) in the basis \(B\) (\(ab=\sum_{c\in B}\lambda_{abc}c\) for \(a,b\in B\)). (GT3) For all \(a,b\in B\) we have \(\lambda_{ab1}=\lambda_{ba1}\) and \(\lambda_{ab1}=0\) if \(a\neq \overline b\). A GT-algebra is called real if \(R\subset \mathbb{R}\), \(\lambda_{a\overline b1}>0\) and \(\lambda_{abc}\geq 0\) for \(a,b,c\in B\). A real commutative GT-algebra is called a table algebra. If \((A,B)\) is a real GT-algebra, then there exists a unique algebra homomorphism \(|\;|:A\to \mathbb{R}\) such that \(|b|=|\overline b|>0\) for each \(b\in B\). The real numbers \(\{|b|: b\in B\}\) are called the degrees of \((A,B)\). In this paper real GT-algebras with even degrees are investigated. In \S\ 3 some results on Bose-Mesner algebras are submitted. Corollary 3.4. Let \(H\leq G\) be finite groups such that \(\nu_2([H:H\cap H^g])=\alpha>0\) for each \(g\in G-H\). Then (i) \(HgH=Hg^{-1}H\) for each \(g\in G\); (ii) the character \(1_H^G\) is multiplicity-free and \(\nu_2(\chi(1))=2^\alpha\) for each nontrivial \(\chi\in \text{Irr}(G)\) which appears in \(1_H^G\).
