Heat trace asymptotics defined by transfer boundary conditions (Q1870304)

Let \(M:=(M^+,M^-)\) be a pair of compact, Riemannian, smooth manifolds with common smooth boundary \(\Sigma\). Let \(V\) be a pair of vector bundles over \(M\), where the restrictions \(V^{\pm}\) over \(\Sigma\) need not have the same dimension. Let \(D\) be an operator of Laplace type on smooth sections of \(V\). The authors compute the first five terms of the short-time heat trace asymptotic expansion of the realization of \(D\) with transfer boundary conditions.
