    In this very interesting paper the authors study the oscillation of solutions of the following higher order partial differential equations with functional arguments \[ \begin{multlined} \frac{\partial ^N}{\partial t^N} \left( u(x,t) + \sum_{i=1}^l h_i(t) u(x,\rho_i(t)) \right)\\ -\left[ \sum_{i=1}^M (-1)^{j-1}a_j(t) \Delta ^j u(x,t) + \sum_{i=1}^k \sum_{j=1}^M (-1)^{j-1}b_{ij}(t) \Delta ^j u(x,\tau_{ij}(t)) \right] \\ + c(x,t,(u(x,\sigma_i(t)))_{i=1}^m) = f(x,t), \quad (x,t) \in G \times (0,\infty)\end{multlined} \] together with one of the boundary conditions \[ \begin{aligned}\Delta ^j u &= \psi_{j+1} \text{ on } \partial G \times (0,\infty) \;(j=0,1,\dots ,M-1)\\ \frac{\partial \Delta ^j u}{\partial \nu} + (-1)^j \mu_{j+1} u &= \tilde{\psi}_{j+1} \text{ on } \partial G \times (0,\infty) \;(j=0,1,\dots ,M-1).\end{aligned} \] Sufficient conditions for the oscillations of the solutions of the problems (1),(2) and (1),(3) are obtained. Using an adequate averaging technique the problem of oscillation is reduced to oscillation of higher order ordinary differential functional inequalities. The results obtained in the paper are illustrated by interesting examples.
