The author continues his investigation of the probabilistic aspect of the so-called Matsumoto zeta-function \(\varphi(s)\) begun in [Liet. Mat. Rink. 40, Spec. Iss., 33--38 (2000; Zbl 1024.11061)]. It is proved that, if \(h>0\) is a fixed real and \(\exp(2\pi k/h)\) is irrational for all non-zero integers \(k\), then the probability measure \(P_N(A)\) (defined precisely in the paper) converges weakly to \(P_\varphi\) as \(N\to\infty\), where \(\varphi\) is the zeta-function in question. The proof is based on two lemmas from probabilistic number theory.
