The author studies the following first-order differential-difference operator \[ \Lambda f = \frac{df}{dx} + \frac{A^\prime (x)}{A(x)} \left(\frac{f(x)-f(-x)}{2}\right), \] where \(A(x)=|x|^{2\alpha + 1} B(x)\), \(\alpha \geq - \frac{1}{2}\), \(B\) is a positive \(C^\infty\) even function on \(\mathbb{R}\). A generalized Taylor formula with integral remainder is established, and sufficient conditions are found for a function on \(\mathbb{R}\) to be expanded as a generalized Taylor series.
