Considered are the convex hypersurfaces in Euclidean space. The integral scalar curvature of a convex hypersurface is defined as a weak limit of the integral scalar curvatures of regular convex hypersurfaces approximating a given hypersurface. The author proves that a convex hypersurface with two-sided bounded positive specific scalar curvature and absolutely continuous elementary symmetric curvature measures can be approximated bt \(C^{1,1}\)-smooth hypersurfaces with uniformly two-sided bounded positive specific scalar curvatures. If, in addition, the specific Gaussian curvature is two-sided bounded and positive then the author proves that the hypersurface itself is of class \(C^{1,1}\). This is an English translation of the author's article published in the book [\textit{Yu. G. Reshetnyak} (ed.) et al., Proceedings of the conference `Geometry and applications' dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Prof. Victor Toponogov. Novosibirsk: Izdatel'stvo Instituta Matematiki (2001; Zbl 0987.53002)].
