The authors study the fourth-order equation associated with the Bernstein problems in global centroaffine differential geometry. They summarize basic formulas of centroaffine hypersurfaces theory in terms of Cartan's moving frames and give examples of extremal and complete centroaffine hypersurfaces. A list of problems and conjectures is given with partial solutions.
