The paper discusses the connection between global hyperbolicity and space completeness. It is shown that for sliced spaces with uniformly bounded lapse, shift and spatial metric, global hyperbolicity and completeness are equivalent. If the spacetime is additionally trivial, i.e. lapse and shift are constant and the spatial metric is time-independent, it is also equivalent that the spacetime is timelike and null geodesically complete.
