The authors consider the stochastic Navier-Stokes equations \[ du(t)+ [\nu Au(t)+ B(u(t))]\,dt= dW(t),\qquad u(0)= x, \] in the two-dimensional torus with periodic boudary conditions. This article is related to that of \textit{G. Da Prato} and \textit{J. Debussche} [J. Funct. Anal. 196, 180--210 (2002; Zbl 1013.60051)], where the existence and the uniqueness are established, using the form \(u= z+ v\) of the solution, where \(z\) is the solution of an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck equation \(dz(t)= Az(t)dt+ dW(t)\) \((A= P\Delta)\). The authors prove in a direct manner the uniqueness of the solution \(u\) almost surely with respect to the invariant measure, considering the equation for the difference \(v= u- \widetilde u\) between two solutions \(u\) and \(\widetilde u\). The function space they use is that of Besov on the two-dimensional torus and technical key point is the estimation of the nonlinear term, which can be reduced to a particular form on the two-dimensional torus.
