The authors study hyperbolic 3-manifolds with totally geodesic boundary, using truncated tetrahedra. The structure of such manifolds has been previously studied by \textit{S. Kojima} [Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 20, 93--112, (1992; Zbl 0802.57006)] and \textit{M. Fujii} [Tokyo J. Math. 13, 353--373 (1990; Zbl 0729.57005)]. In this paper, the authors consider a particular class \(M_n\) of manifolds having an ideal triangulation with \(n\geq 2\) tetrahedra and a single edge. By exploiting the properties of truncated hyperbolic tetrahedra, the authors show that the manifolds in \(M_n\) have the same hyperbolic volume, Heegaard genus, Matveev complexity and Turaev-Viro invariants. The authors also prove that the number of manifolds in \(M_n\) grows at least exponentially with \(n\).
