    The present aricle is devoted to the study of the singular limit, as \(\epsilon\to 0^+\), for a class of quasilinear degenerate parabolic equations of the form \[ \partial_t u_{\epsilon} + \text{Div}_x(\mathbf B(t,x)\varphi(u_{\epsilon})) + \psi(t,x,u_{\epsilon}) = \epsilon\Delta\phi(u_{\epsilon}),\quad (t,x)\in (0,T)\times\Omega,\quad\epsilon > 0, \] with the mixed Dirichlet-Neumann bondary conditions \[ u_{\epsilon} = u_{\Gamma_e}\quad\text{on } (0,T)\times\Gamma_e,\quad \nabla\phi(u_{\epsilon})\cdot\nu = 0, \quad\text{on } (0,T)\times(\Gamma\setminus\Gamma_e), \] where \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^p\) (\(p\geq 1\)) with a Lipschitz boundary \(\Gamma\), \(\mathbf B\) is a vector field on \((0,T)\times\Omega\), \(\varphi\) is \(C^1\)-class function such that \[ \varphi'\geq 0,\quad {\mathcal L_1}(\{x\in R,\phi'(x) = 0\}) = 0. \] Here \({\mathcal L_p}\) denotes the Lebesgue measure on \(\mathbb R^p\) and \(\Gamma_e\) is a part of \(\Gamma\) with a positive \(d\Gamma\)-measure. The main aim is to prove the existence and uniqueness theorem for the problem under consideration and, then, to establish the \(L^1\)-convergence of the viscous solutions obtained toward the entropy solution of the corresponding first-order hyperbolic problem.
