Let \(K\) be a normal extension of the rationals of degree \(n\geq3\), and let \(\lambda_1,\dots,\lambda_{n-1}\) be a basis of the torsion-free part of the group of Hecke characters of a fixed conductor. The author proves that for every complex \(z\) and \(\epsilon>0\) there exists a \(\sigma_0>1\) such that \[ \liminf_{T\to\infty}{1\over T^{n-1}}\# \Bigl\{m_1,\dots,m_{n-1}\in{\mathbb Z}: \max_i| m_i| \leq T, | L(\sigma_0,\lambda_1^{m_1}\cdots\lambda_{n-1}^{m_{n-1}})-z| <\varepsilon\Bigr\} \] is positive.
