The authors study the inhomogeneous continuum random trees (ICRT) that are weak limits of birthday trees and define the exploration process on such trees as a function encoding the structure of an ICRT and its width process determining the size of the layers related with height. It is shown that these two processes are transformations of bridges with exchangeable increments. As a corollary a generalization to jump processes of the following \textit{T. Jeulin's} result [in: Grossissements de filtrations: examples et applications. Lect. Notes Math. 1118, 197--304 (1985; Zbl 0562.60080)] is given. Let \((l_u,0\leq u<\infty)\) be the occupation density for the Brownian excursion \((B_s^{\text{exc}},0\leq s\leq 1)\). Then \[ (\tfrac 1 2l_{u/2},0\leq u<\infty)\overset{d}{=}(B_{L^{-1}(u)}^{\text{exc}},0\leq u<\infty) \] where \(L(t)=\int_0^lds/B_s^{\text{exc}}\).
