Let \(H\) be a Hilbert space. A function \(u:\mathbb{R}\to H\) is said to be almost automorphic if for every sequence of real numbers \((\sigma_{n})\), there exists a subsequence \((s_{n})\) such that \(g(t)=\lim_{n\to\infty}f(t+s_{n})\) is well defined for each \(t\in \mathbb{R}\), and \(f(t)=\lim_{n\to\infty}g(t-s_{n})\) for each \(t\in \mathbb{R}.\) The author studies the nonhomogeneous second-order differential equation \[ ((d^2)/(ds^2))u(s)+2B(d/(ds))u(s)+Au(s)=f(s),\tag{1} \] where \(A\) and \(B\) are densely defined closed linear operators on \(H\), and \(f:\mathbb{R}\to H\) is a given almost automorphic vector-valued function. By using the method of invariant subspaces, he proves that under appropriate conditions, every solution to (1) is almost automorphic, completing some previous results of \textit{G. M.
