The paper deals with the result on the existence of monotonic and integrable over \((0,1)\) solutions of the following functional integral equation \[ x(t)= g(t)+ \int^1_0 k_1(t, s) f_1\biggl(s, \int^s_0 k_2(s,\tau) f_2(\tau, x(\tau))\,d\tau\biggr)\,ds. \] The main tool used in the proof is the technique associated with measures of noncompactness.
