    The usual index theorems for holomorphic self-maps, like for instance the classical holomorphic Lefschetz theorem, assume that the fixed-point set contains only isolated points. Here, the authors prove index theorems for holomorphic self-maps having a positive dimensional fixed-point set, which contain versions for holomorphic self-maps of two main index theorems of foliation theory, the Baum-Bott index theorem and the Lehmann-Suwa-Khanedani (or variation) index theorem, and give applications for studying the dynamics of endomorphisms of complex manifolds.
