This paper concerns an age-dependent population dynamic epidemic model with spatial diffusion. The mortality and fertility processes are assumed to be linear. Local existence, continuation property, positivity and global existence are obtained. The results are applied to some specific reaction-diffusion epidemic model including the Si system, the SiS system with vertical transmission and the SiR system.
