Let \(RG\) be the group ring of an Abelian group \(G\) over a commutative ring \(R\) with identity and prime characteristic \(p>0\). If \(G\) is a \(p\)-local Warfield group, then it is well known that the \(R\)-isomorphism \(RG\cong RH\) gives \(G\cong H\). Denote by \(G_R=\prod_{q\neq p}G_q\), where \(G_q\) is the \(q\)-component of \(G\) for every prime number \(q\). If \(G\) is a Warfield Abelian group [\textit{R. Hunter} and \textit{F. Richman}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 266, 555-572 (1981; Zbl 0471.20038)] and \(RG\cong RH\) as \(R\)-algebras, then the author asserts that \(G/G_R\cong H/H_R\). In particular, if \(G\) is \(p\)-mixed Warfield Abelian, then \(G\cong H\). Remark: The author does not give the main definitions, which he investigates and so the reading is difficult. Moreover, the text contains some errors. For example, he chooses a maximal ideal of \(R\) which contains the prime number \(p\). But \(\text{char\,}R=p\) and \(p=0\) in \(R\).
