The first aim of the present paper is giving a counterexample of Auslander's conjecture. That is, the authors construct, for given integer~\(q > 0\), an Artinian ring~\(A\) and finitely generated \(A\)-modules \(M\), \(N\) such that \(\text{Ext}_A^q(M, N) \neq 0\) and \(\text{Ext}_A^i(M, N) = 0\) for all \(i > q\). In other words, \[ \sup\{q \mid q = \sup\{i \mid \text{Ext}_A^i(M,N) \neq 0\} < \infty\text{ where }M,N\text{ are finitely generated }A\text{-modules}\} \] is infinite. The second aim of this paper is studying classes of local rings. There are many classes of local rings between Gorenstein local rings and local complete intersection rings, for example AB rings. The authors observe implications of them and whether each implications is proper or not.
