It is studied whether the asymptotic behavior of solutions of \(\dot{x} = A(t)x \) is transferred to nonlinear perturbations \(\dot{x} = A(t)x + f(t,x)\) with \(f(t,0) \equiv 0\). The author generalizes classical stability and conditional stability results for the nonlinear system under the assumption that the linear system is weakly hyperbolic, which means that if \(\| g(t)\| \) decays like \(e^{-(\lambda + \varepsilon)t}\) for \(t \to \infty\), then the inhomogeneous equation \[ \dot{x} = A(t)x + g(t) \] has a solution which decays like \(e^{- \lambda t}\).
