Ramanujan graphs are regular graphs whose nontrivial spectrum is contained within the spectrum of the infinite regular tree of the same degree. Similarly, Ramanujan hypergraphs are regular uniform hypergraphs whose complex spectrum is contained within that of the Bruhat-Tits building that cover them. In this article, a construction is given in the special case of the building \(\widetilde A_n\). It uses deep results on automorphic forms over function fields. A result on spectral growth à la Alon-Boppana is also derived.
