At present, more than 100 giant extra-solar planets have been discovered in Doppler surveys of solar-type stars, among which there are 1` multi-planet systems, including eight two-planet systems and two three-planet system. The observations indicate that the mean-motion resonance frequently occurs for planets in multiple-planet systems. By use of the RKF 7 (8) method and symplectic integrators, numerical integration of the two-planet HD 82943 system (in the \(N\)-body problem formulation) is performed for 10 millions years. Two mechanisms of stabilizing the system near 2:1 mean-motion resonance are found.
